When moving

For the following procedures, you will need your residence card or special permanent residence certificate.

Moving to another municipality from Urayasu City

1. Submit a moving-out notification to Urayasu City between one to two weeks before your moving-out date. The moving-out notification form is available at the Civic Affairs Section. When you submit a moving-out notification, you will receive a moving-out certificate
2. Submit your moving-in notification and Urayasu City’s moving-out certificate to your new municipal office within fourteen days of moving into your new place

Moving to another country from Urayasu City

Submit a moving-out notification to Urayasu City between one to two weeks before your moving-out date. The moving-out notification form is available at the Civic Affairs Section.

Moving into Urayasu City from other municipality within Japan

1. Submit a moving-out notification to your current municipal office between one to two weeks before your moving-out date. When you submit a moving-out notification, you will receive a moving-out certificate
2. Submit your moving-in notification and former municipal office’s moving-out certificate to the Civic Affairs Section at Urayasu City Hall within fourteen days of moving into Urayasu City

Moving into Urayasu City from a country abroad

Submit your moving-in notification to the Civic Affairs Section at Urayasu City Hall within fourteen days of moving into Urayasu City.

In addition to your residence card or special permanent residence certificate, you will need your passport to complete procedures. Your date of entry into Japan should be stamped on your passport. If there is no stamp, you will also need to bring other document to confirm your date of entry, such as your airline ticket.

Moving within Urayasu City

Submit your address change notification to the Civic Affairs Section within fourteen days of moving to your new place.
